CareCompanion
CareCompanion is continued in my Final Master Project.
During my Preparation Final Master Project, I explored how an LLM-based AI tool could support nurses at Catharina Hospital Eindhoven. Through interviews, observations (shadow days on the wards), system exploration, and stakeholder discussions, I investigated how nurses search for medical information and where this process causes friction in their daily workflow.
The findings showed that information was scattered across multiple databases, difficult to search in, and often used under time pressure. By mapping the existing information ecosystem and translating contextual insights into design requirements, I developed the first concept of CareCompanion: an LLM-based interface that could provide nurses with more direct access to internal information. This project established the contextual foundation, initial design direction, and scope for my Final Master Project.
