Business & Entrepreneurship
For me BE means evaluating the value of a design in a specific context, to realistically shape its implementation. To do this, it is important to consider who a design is for, why it matters and who needs to support the design during and after realization.

In the course DE I was inspired to take this approach, learning how to communicate design value through the why-how-what method. This helped combine the US perspective with BE, by focusing on the target user, the problem they experienced and how the product should be positioned towards the user in order to communicate its value.
In my FMP this became less commercial and more organizational. CareCompanion was not a product that entered the market, but a concept that needed to land in the hospital preventing abandonment or rejection. Its value therefore depended on workflow fit, stakeholder alignment, technical ownership, ethical and legal boundaries, and organizational responsibility.
